Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using the breath. Commonly referred to as “Flow” yoga, it is sometimes confused with “Power Yoga“.
Power Yoga increases your heart rate. You can burn extra calories through a full-body workout while you build heat. At least half of the asanas (postures) in a Power Yoga Class are Vinyasa Yoga sequences, where you link breath to movement.
It is a type of yoga that focuses on the connection between breath, movement, and the mind. It is based on the principles of hatha yoga, vinyasa yoga and ashtanga vinyasa. This style of yoga is often referred to as 'flow' because it moves from one pose to another in a continuous, smooth way.
“Yin Yang Yoga” is a practice that blends the two styles of Yoga into one practice — slow-paced Yin Yoga with traditional Yang Yoga (Ashtanga and Hatha). This practice aims to balance the two opposing energies in the body and bring harmony to mind and spirit. This practice is rooted in the ancient Taoist philosophy of Yin and Yang, which is based on two opposing yet complementary forces.

Meaghan Frazier (CYT-200 Yoga Teacher)
Meaghan first discovered Yoga during the Covid Pandemic while taking Abby's classes on the Beach. She quickly fell in love with the practice thanks to Abby and received her 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Certification. She graduated from Clemson University in 2022 with her Bachelor's Degree in Biology and is a Second Year Law Student at the Charleston School of Law.
Meaghan loves teaching Yoga and you can find Meaghan and her Mom doing handstands during every class.
Sara Joyce Moore (CYT-200 Yoga Teacher)
Sara's first memories of Yoga are copying asana out of a children’s Yoga book around the age of five. As an aspiring dancer and athlete throughout childhood, Yoga appealed to her because of the required combination of strength and flexibility as well as mental fortitude. While attending Clemson University, she took Yoga as an elective to help mitigate the stresses of obtaining an engineering degree, deepening her love for the practice. After college, she continued to cultivate her practice in the wealth of the Charleston, South Carolina Yoga community. In 2011, Sara obtained her 200hr Yoga Teacher Certificate from the Holy Cow Yoga Center in Charleston. Although injuries and life changes have sometimes gotten in the way of maintaining a practice, the benefits of Yoga and its community always bring her back to the mat. Sara’s classes are based in Hatha Yoga and are playful exploration movement and breathe in order to bring mindfulness to the body.
Sara teaches at Coastal Bliss on Saturday mornings at 10:30 a.m.
