Sara Joyce Moore
CYT-200 Yoga Teacher
Sara is a civil engineer based out of North Myrtle Beach. As an aspiring dancer and athlete, she was introduced to yoga at a young age to help with strength and mobility. Over the years, the benefits of the practice beyond the physical continue to draw her back to the mat. She obtained her 200-hour Yoga Teacher certificate in 2011 from the Holy Cow Yoga Center in Charleston, SC. Sara’s classes are based in Hatha Yoga and are a playful exploration movement and breath.
Sara's first memories of Yoga are copying asana out of a children’s Yoga book around the age of five. As an aspiring dancer and athlete throughout childhood, Yoga appealed to her because of the required combination of strength and flexibility, as well as mental fortitude. While attending Clemson University, she took Yoga as an elective to help mitigate the stresses of obtaining an engineering degree, deepening her love for the practice.
Cultivating Mindful Movement
After college, she continued to cultivate her practice in the wealth of the Charleston, South Carolina Yoga community. In 2011, Sara obtained her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate from the Holy Cow Yoga Center in Charleston. Although injuries and life changes have sometimes gotten in the way of maintaining a practice, the benefits of Yoga and its community always bring her back to the mat. Sara’s classes are based in Hatha Yoga and are playful explorations of movement and breath, designed to bring mindfulness to the body.
Class Schedule:
Saturdays at 10:30 AM.
Nicole Raitano
Nicole fell in love with yoga in 1994 and then became a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, propelling her to complete the 800-hour Yoga Teacher/Therapist Training at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA) in Tempe, Arizona in 2012. It was during a Thai massage class that she realized her gift of bodywork and returned to SWIHA and enrolled in the 750-hour Professional Massage Therapy program from which she graduated in 2015. She considers herself deeply spiritual and a lifelong learner, holding certificates in Aromatherapy, Archangel Activation, Holistic Lifestyle Coach, Oncology Massage and a Bachelor of Science in Management. Nicole is empathic and intuitive, using her divine connection with spiritual beings to guide her during yoga sessions.
If presented with an opportunity to go anywhere in the world, Nicole would be torn between buying a ticket to Fiji or Sardinia Italy. Yoga is Nicole's favorite way to get her body moving, but she also greatly enjoys walking on the beach with her pooch Duke (Lhasa Apso), bicycling or hiking. Her favorite book is The Road Less Traveled by M. Scott Peck and she enjoys almost all genres of music!
Nicole teaches Yoga on Tuesday Nights at 6:30 PM.
